What We Believe...
We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, and His atoning death on the cross for our sins. We believe in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe Jesus is the second Person of the Trinity, affirming the biblical truth that there is one God existing eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each fully God.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that humankind, consisting of two genders (male and female), is created in the image of God. Each of these two distinct, complementary genders reflects the image of God.

We believe that all human life is sacred and begins at conception. Each unborn child is a unique, living human being, created in the image of God, and must be respected and protected both before and after birth.

We believe that since all humans are made in the image of God, all humans have equal dignity and value regardless of age (including the unborn), intelligence, gender, physical ability, shade of skin tone, religion, ethnicity, or any other characteristic.

We believe that the only legitimate marriage, based on the creation ordinance in Genesis 1 and 2, sanctioned by God is the joining of one naturally born man and one naturally born woman in a single, exclusive union as delineated in Scripture.

We believe that salvation is by God’s grace alone, a gift received by faith alone in Christ alone.

We believe that faith is our only response to the finished sacrifice of Jesus. Placing our believing trust in Jesus and His completed work, God saves sinners and declares us righteous. With these foundational and ancient truths, we believe in the amazing power and beauty of God's grace to save all people who are sinners separated from God.
Worthy
WHY ARE WE
I am worthy? What does that mean? Your worth does not come from the good things you've done or the mistakes you've made. It does not come from what others say about you or how you feel when you look in the mirror. Your value does not come from your accomplishments or popularity. And your identity is not found in what you do.
You are worthy because the hands of God knit you together. At the beginning of time, God created human beings (you and me) in his own, perfect image. He designed us to be like Him, a beautiful masterpiece. And even though we mess up and are consumed in our shame and sadness and guilt, he loves us so much his only son to die on a cross to pay for what we've done and to give us life. And if that wasn't enough, he promises us that nothing can ever seperate us from his love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - nothing, nada, zip, zero can seperate us from God's love. We can choose to turn our back on him, deny him, pretend he doesn't exist, even vow to never believe in him, yet...yet (read these words closely) He will never, ever stop loving you and chasing after you. And if you decide that you want to live a life for God, he welcomes you in with open arms, without judgement or condemnation and all the angels of Heaven rejoice.
The Truth?
IT SOUNDS GOOD BUT IS IT
We live in a world constantly telling us how worthy, powerful, beautiful, strong, and capable we gals are… BUT those encouragements are only as effective and meaningful as our situation. It’s easy to believe that we are powerful when we get the promotion. It’s easy to feel important when we’re popular. Of course, we feel capable when things are going our way but what happens, when we fail? What happens when we are dumped, or pushed to the side? It’s not as easy to believe all those things when we are feeling less than & unwanted.
The message may look great on the outside and buying into them might make you feel all warm and fizzy inside but they all fail to mention the most important thing... the why. Yes, we are beautiful and courageous and so deserving of value and respect but why?
WHY ARE WE WORTHY?
WHY DOES HIS OPINON MATTER SO MUCH?
WHO SAYS SO?
Why Are We Worthy?
LET’S BREAK DOWN JUST WHAT WE BELIEVE
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.”
Psalm 139:13
Science tell us that yes, you were formed from 2 cells, one from your mom and another from your dad, but there is so much more to the story. You were made, created, and brought into this world not by chance or luck or mistake or by an error but on purpose, for a reason, and you were created specifically to be the person you are. God does not use a conveyor belt style, generic mold method to create us. Nor does he snap his fingers and "wa-bam" we exist. He delicately and carefully knits us together, piece by piece. Our bodies, our minds, our personalities, our talents, our flaws, every hair on our head was perfectly placed where it should be. You were not an afterthought or a project quickly thrown together, God has thought about you, who you are and who you'll become far more thoroughly and comprehensively than we can even begin to understand. Each of us is his perfect masterpiece.
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them”
Genesis 1:27
Your value and worth begin with the fact that you are made by the hand of the creator in his very own image. The God that created everything; the heavens, the earth, the sky, the animals, he made you and I. God created us like him so that we would be his representation on Earth. It's pretty crazy and awesome to think that you are not only made in the image of God but you were made for the specific purpose, to be his representation on Earth. The problem is we don't see ourselves as "God imaging people." We find value in places that God never intended (like money, power, sex, popularity) and they never satisfy us because they can't compare to the worth and value we are capable of feeling when we put our identity in Christ. The closer we become to the image or the person God created us to be, the more purposeful and satisfies we will find ourselves and only then we will actually become and grow into the person God created us to be and fully grasp what our value is.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”
John 3:16
John 3:16 is one of the most famous, most memorized, and most recognizable verses in all the Bible. Regardless of where you are in your Faith, there is a good chance you've seen it or heard it. If not the verse, then just "John 3:16." For example, every shopping bag from the international retailer Forever 21 has John 3:16 printed on it. It's an affirmation of your worthiness because, in one sentence, it sums up the immense, sacrificial love God has for you and the greatest promises that will ever exist. God loves you and I so much - so infinitely much, that he willingly sacrifices his only son, Jesus, to die a terrible, humiliating death of crucifixion, so whoever - you, me, your neighbor, the guy that committed a terrible crime, the prostitute who works the corner on the other side of town - whoever believes in Jesus - meaning whoever believes and has faith in - not puts in the most work or gives the most money, or has lived the perfect life - but believes, will not die but have eternal life. Meaning your time here on Earth in our human bodies is short compared to the eternity we have ahead of us. We are worthy because of what God did for us on the cross. When we were undeserving he made love, forgiveness, faith, and eternal life a reality.
“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans
8:37-39
These verses and their promises stop me dead in my tracks every time I read them because they speak of a love that is so radical and so relentless. The majority of relationships we, on Earth, are familiar with are based on an if/then idea. If you do this for me, then I will love you. But God comes to us with an even if promise. Even if we turn on him, hurt him, disobey him he will still love us. He doesn't say, if you love, respect, obey, listen to me then I will love you. Nope. You are worthy because God promises that he will never stop loving you and that nothing will seperate you from that. Let me repeat that, and please just sit and soak in these words - no matter that nothing in all creation can seperate you from the love of God.
“In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Luke 15:10
There are roughly 7.7 billion people in the world, yet God rejoices when one of his perfect creations come back to him. You are worthy because God, the same God that is overseeing those 7.7 billion people, sees you specifically. He knows you specifically and he celebrates with angels in heaven when you turn to him. There are numerous parables and stories throughout the Bible that echo this promise. even when no one sees you, wants you, listens to you, he does and not only does he allows you to come back home, he welcomes you with open arms singing arms of praise!
